Alan Jagolinzer is a skilled accounting professor who takes his teaching seriously. And he takes his responsibilities as a researcher seriously too. Alan is not afraid to tackle the tough topics of the day – executive compensation, insider trading, the impact of auditing standards – just to name a few. Bringing an accounting perspective to these topics is rare – and extremely useful to better understand the nature of the issues involving them.
Alan served his country for 10 years in the US Air Force before deciding to become an accountant. He taught at Stanford’s graduate business school for 7 years – winning several awards for his teaching excellence – until he moved over to Boulder to teach at the University of Colorado there for the past 6 years.
